The company has enormous experience operating oil fields with wide range of oil gravity, i.e. 11 to 40.9 API, and carries out drilling operations in different reservoirs (limestone, sandstone etc.).

One of the most significant events in GYP’s history is the discovery of Arpatepe Field located in Diyarbakir area. On 21.04.2008 at the depth of 2455m in Paleozoic sandstones, high-quality oil (API – 40.9) has been tested. Currently the oil production is carried out by natural flow.

GYP produces and transports the crude oil with its own transportation fleet and selling to TUPRAS Batman Refinery. There are three production camps for gathering, separating and blending the crude oil for the Batman refinery.
